Redbreast’s American Oak Series was launched in 2022. The series focuses on telling the stories of unique casks that are crucial for making the whiskey what it is. The first release in the series starts in typical Redbreast fashion ― as a triple-distilled Irish single pot still whiskey that’s initially matured in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. Then, this expression is transferred into naturally air-dried oak casks that were sourced from the Taylor Family Farm in Kentucky. Bottled at 101 proof, the whiskey is balanced and sweet with notes of fruit, toasted almonds, toffee, vanilla, and oak spice.
