Like all Redbreast whiskeys, Lustau Edition combines malted and unmalted barley, which is milled, mashed, and triple-distilled in traditional copper pot stills. After distillation, the whiskey matures for nine to twelve years in ex-bourbon and sherry casks, with a special finishing year in Spanish oak Oloroso casks from Bodegas Lustau. The result is a rich aroma of stone fruit, prunes, and dates, complemented by a creamy palate with a spicy, sherry-infused finish. This marks a historic moment for Redbreast, as it is the first permanent addition to the collection since the release of Redbreast 21 in 2013.
