The 2021 Nikka Discovery series presents two well-known single malts, Miyagikyo and Yoichi, in different expressions. The main theme of the 2021 Nikka Discovery series is peat switcheroo. They release the typically gentle Miyagikyo in a peated version.

Meanwhile, the traditionally bold and intense Yoichi, reminiscent of Scottish whiskies from the Island of Skye, has no peat, transforming into a much finer, softer form. Although it loses some of its edge, this whisky maintains a rich body and solid mouthfeel, making it worthy of the Yoichi name.
